2BR, 2Bath Condo For Rent, Comes With Covered Parking
Our upstairs neighbors bought the condo two floors below ours and have asked us to help them find good, tustworthy tenants who won't trash the place. The building is brand new, located on 18th Street near Park Slope in Brooklyn. The rent is $1850/mo and that includes a covered parking spot in the garage beneath the building. Full kitchen with appliances and washer/dryer. It's on the first floor and has a small patio that faces the street, right across from a small park that is always full of kids. One of the bathrooms comes with a jacuzzi-style tub; very nice. Very secure building with great neighbors. Move-in date would be mid to late July. Email me for more details and contact info.

CamWorld Turns Eight
Eight years ago today, on June 11, 1997 I posted my first weblog entry. Had I known back then that I was embarking on a journey that would shape my life, my career and who I am as a person I think I would have run away screaming and hidden under a rock for a while.
Instead, I chose to a path unknown to most. Even way back in 1997 I knew there was something very powerful about what I and a few others were doing. The web in those days was mostly an information tool and I contributed what I could. What began as a web site designed to support a college class I was teaching at the time quickly became a resource for other web designers, checking in every day or so to see what new links I had put up. And thus CamWorld was born.
Blogs have since come a long way and I am proud to have been one of the first. Starting with my 1999 essay that helped define the concept and format, I have watched as blogs were at first laughed at and scorned by media professionals, then slowly accepted -- and today are almost a mandatory part of any news and media property.
I don't know what my future holds, but I can be sure of one thing: blogs and blogging will continue to be a part of it for an undetermined amount of time. Here's to another eight years.

Startup Now Hiring Java Programmers
A friend of mine in NYC is hiring Java programmers for a vertical search company currently in stealth-mode. Please reply to this Craigslist job posting (cached copy) if you are interested. I'm working out a deal to share the office space, so if you are hired you'll get to see my ugly mug several days a week.
