A challenge, if you will. Can anyone tell me where to go or who to contact to find "lost items" that are being held by the U.S. military? I'm not interested in the various States' Unclaimed Property offices, as I am already famailiar with these resources. I'm specifically interested in who is responsible for unclaimed property associated with military addresses. For instance, property and/or assets lost or misplaced in a move between a civilian address and a military address. Specifics: I'm trying to track down items lost between two moves. The first was a move from Rapid City, SD to Pago Pago, American Samoa. The second was a move from Wyoming to Menwith Air Force Base in Harrogate, England. Items also may have been lost during transportation from civilian storage storage in Rapid City to military storage. Some items made it to their final destination (Kalkaska, MI), but several boxes are still missing. All moves occurred between 1979 and 1985. The person who can provide me with the correct information, even if it does not result in the recovery of unclaimed property, gets a free gift (probably a book). You CamList old-timers are already familiar with my research-for-free-stuff episodes. Well, here's another chance. Feel free to send me as many pointers or as much information as you can find. Cameron
